Every announcement so far is addressed to banks, asset managers and insurers. None names a university, an academic license or an academic data platform. The connection is already built for the commercial product, so extending it to the academic one is a contract decision. Researchers are not waiting: 6 open source projects already connect WRDS to coding agents. "Not on the map" means no public announcement has turned up.
