About
Finance research is being automated. This site exists so you are not left behind.
Coverage
The research pipeline is being automated one stage at a time: pulling data, cleaning it, estimating, checking robustness, writing and replicating. We follow the papers, tools, data products, journal policies and accreditation standards that move this along, and we say which ones hold up.
Who it is for
Students, doctoral candidates and faculty in finance and accounting come first. Industry researchers come second, because that is where many students end up. Readers are spread across many countries, so we say which market a result comes from and we cover data and policy outside the United States.
Our position
We think most of the empirical pipeline can be automated and should be, and that finance research is well behind software development in using the tools that do it. We bring those tools and techniques here and show them on finance problems. The open questions are about validity, disclosure and credit, and those are the ones we spend time on. When a claim is overhyped or a method is unsound, we say so.
How entries are made
Entries are drafted with AI assistance from public primary sources and reviewed by an editor before publication. Every entry links to the source it was written from. Working papers are labeled as not peer reviewed.
Entries marked Signal are unconfirmed. They report a claim that is already public, say who is making it and say what would confirm it. Read them as leads.
Independence
