AACSB's AI framework for business schools grows to 84 schools in its July 2026 update
The report series went from 26 institutions in July 2025 to 48 in January 2026 and 84 in July, and it names faculty development as the critical success factor.
AACSB published the July 2026 update of “A Framework for Artificial Intelligence in Business Education” on 28 July 2026, with partners Inspire Higher Ed, the Graduate Business Curriculum Roundtable and the Graduate Management Admission Council. The page lists Tawnya Means of the Gies College of Business and AACSB Thought Leadership as authors.
The series now covers 84 business schools, up from 48 in January 2026 and 26 in the first edition in July 2025. AACSB describes four shifts in practice: from infrastructure to governance, from AI awareness to AI literacy, from technology adoption to strategic partnerships, and from teaching ethics to embedding responsible AI. It sets out eight themes, among them domain-specific AI applications, responsible AI and ethics integration, and faculty development, which it calls the critical success factor.
AACSB presents the framework as non-prescriptive. A related AACSB webinar page cites a 2025 dean and faculty survey in which nearly 45 percent of schools lacked the coordinated governance to put AI policies into practice, and it says 97 percent of schools now reference AI in their accreditation materials.
The report page does not say which countries the 84 schools are in.
